The Austrian team believes the solution for rival Formula 1 teams to come close to it in terms of performance is not to copy its car.
Last year in Formula 1 Red Bull Racing completely dominated. In total, he counted 21 victories in 22 Grand Prix, with RB19 to be clearly the fastest car on the web.
The race advantage he had held from the first race to the last, and no other team managed to come close to it, with the exception of Carlos Sainz’s victory in Singapore. That raises the question of whether anyone can oppose her in 2024.
At the teams’ factories, the technical departments have been working around the clock for the past few months to create the fastest cars possible. Her philosophy Red Bull Racing proved to be the best in the last two years, but its technical director, Pierre Vassedo not believe that copying is the solution that competitors are looking for.
“It is quite possible to copy another team. But in the technical field, it is not the “how” but the “why” that matters. If you don’t know the “why”, you can copy all you want, but it’s better to stick to what you know best”he told motorsport.com.

He also admitted that copying design solutions is something his team has done: “We also copy various things. We might copy something that is wrong, but we always find motivation in what solutions other teams have. You get this solution, you will develop it with new ideas and improve your design. But every time you have to understand what you want to do. If you want to copy something just for the sake of copying it, it won’t work.”

The new Red Bull Racing car is expected to be unveiled on February 15. Will the Austrian team manage to repeat the successes of 2023?
