Saint: “I’m getting rid of Ferrari”

Lewis Hamilton’s move to the Scuderia automatically means that the Spaniard will continue his career with another team from 2025.

It has been a shocking February for Formula 1. Multiple event winner Lewis Hamilton will break his contract with Mercedes-AMG F1 at the end of this season and will compete in the red colors of Scuderia Ferrari from 2025.

The seven-time champion will have Charles Leclerc as his teammate and will take the place of Carlos Sainz, who will seek his luck in the event away from Maranello. The Spanish driver posted a short statement on social media in which he… forgets to thank Ferrari but promises to give his best in his final season with the Italian team.

“After today’s youngsters, Scuderia Ferrari and I will go our separate ways at the end of 2024. We still have a long season ahead of us and, as always, I will give my best for the team and for fans around the world. More information on my future will be announced in due course.”

It is considered very likely that Sainz will switch to Sauber in 2025, which from 2026 will be called Audi.
