His brother Michalis burst out: “Why did they let them go free? They will never be convicted” (vid)

His brother, Michalis Katsouri, erupted at the way the Greek judiciary handled the case of the murder of the 29-year-old AEK fan.

My brother Michalis Katsouri who was murdered in the summer after his hooligan attack Dinamo Zagreb in New Philadelphia spoke to ERT about the impunity that exists in Greece regarding the incidents fan violence.

“I see it in fan violence there is no penalty. They break, they hit, they kill and magically they all come out. It’s amazing what happens. The truth is, we’re still waiting to find out why. Why did they come so many kilometers without being stopped, let alone doing anything… Everyone knew. Another why? Why were they released? These people will never actually be tried. Because when the court is held, I don’t think they will come, except for their lawyers’ he said initially.

“When I saw the videos, I couldn’t believe it. I saw an army of cars with hooded men… It was unimaginable” finished.

It is recalled that in December 2023 105 hooliganswho was taken into custody last summer by decision of the competent investigative and prosecutorial authorities, accused of the bloody events in New Philadelphia that led to the killing of the 29-year-old Michalis Katsouri. The judicial authorities accepted the requests for release from the defendants, imposing restrictive conditions such as a ban on entering the country to watch matches and the payment of a bail of 1,000 euros.

All in all, they are out of jail 102 Croats, two Greeks and one defendant of Albanian origin.
