In 2018-2021, Melissa Vargas played for Fenerbahce Opet Istanbul. She then moved to China where she joined Tianjin Bohai Bank. The Turkish player of Cuban origin is currently playing his third season at the said club.

In the last two seasons, Vargas returned to Fenerbahce in the second part of the season when she ended her competition in the Chinese League. This time it looked like it would be different, as her team advanced to the playoffs, which conclude the competition in the first half of February. In addition, the striker was undergoing rehabilitation for an injured shoulder.

Former volleyball player and now expert Ozlem Ozcelik reported that the 25-year-old would most likely not join Fenerbahce. And if it succeeds, he will not be able to play and show his full potential. Now, however, both Turkish and Italian media report that the club signed a contract with her before the end of the transfer window (January 31).

If this variant is ultimately repeated, Vargas will appear in Turkey in the second half of next week, February 6 at the earliest. However, her health condition is still unknown at this time.

Therefore, everything suggests that Magdalena Stysiak will have a big rival in the coming days. For Fenerbahce, the transfer of the Turkish player will of course be a great reinforcement, but it seems that Stefano Lavarini will be in trouble.

The coach has no reason to bench a Polish player as she is doing really well. In addition, he has had excellent contact with her since taking over the role of coach for our women’s team. However, Vargas is unlikely to be left out of the starting lineup if she is ready to play at her best. It is possible that one of them will be moved to reception, as they have both had episodes in this position.
